Current mirror is said to be a basic building block of analog circuits due to which its stable high performance operation becomes a key requirement. A flipped voltage follower based low voltage current mirror having better stability is proposed in this paper. The proposed current mirror topology uses super cascode configuration to boost the output resistance while super transistor configuration to reduce the input resistance. Furthermore, the current mirror circuit includes an external capacitor to suppress the peaking effect seen in the frequency plot ensuring better stability current mirror. The current mirror works well with minimal error till 1mA while dissipating power in micro watts range. The bandwidth calculated to be around 2.5GHz whereas the resistances input and output as 0.407Ω and 103MΩ respectively. The robustness analysis against process and temperature variations is also presented in this paper. The proposed circuit is designed and analyzed using HSpice on 0.18µm mixed-mode twill-well technology with using supply of 0.5V.
