Synthesis of Seven-Membered Oxacycle Containing Triquinane Derivatives via Olefin Metathesis

Abstract

Seven-membered oxacylce containing triquinane derivatives were synthesized in good yields by employing ring-closing metathesis (RCM), ring-opening metathesis (ROM), and the ring-rearrangement metathesis (RRM) as key steps. All the compounds were characterized by NMR data. The key starting materials were obtained starting with a less explored exo-dicyclopentadiene-1-one.
